On April 20, 2021, Pictureplane announced his LP ‘Dopamine’ out July 9th on 100% Electronica. Flood Magazine premiered the Zev Deans (Denzel Curry, St. Vincent)directed music video for ‘Avalanche’. Watch it here.
‘Dopamine’ is available to pre-order cassette, vinyl, CD and a limited edition picture disc on the 100% Electronica website here. Writing “Blade Addict” , I think I was directly inspired by the book “Blood Meridian or the evening redness in the west” by Cormac Mcarthy. While the book is not about vampires, it is definitely about blood and violence, and the landscapes of the desert southwest. the way he writes it’s like he is painting pictures in your mind. I wanted to conjure that same kind of visual poetry in the lyrics. And I just have a fascination and appreciation of blades, the color red, and vampiric lore. - Travis Egedy (Pictureplane)
